 Keeping Secrets Movie Link:

My mother texted me when about Suzanne Somers.  She was a female warrior whom we both admired. We laughed together about me tying yarn to my hair and pretending to be "Chrissy", Somer's iconic comedic character on the ground-breaking and legendary television sitcom "Three's Company".

Around the early 1990's I read her book and watched a television movie about her journey as a Survivor of abuse in her childhood years. Her stories were there at a time when I needed to hear them. She was a talented and beautiful woman whom I grew up watching, and guess what..... she and her family had endured difficult times.

Through the years I watched Somers reinvent herself and fight breast cancer like the warrior most of her fans knew her to be. If she went through, she was quick to let other women know that they could get through it too.  She was tough, inspiring, and absolutely gorgeous. She will be missed but her legacy lives on. Our thoughts are with her son, husband, friends, and loved ones.

Thank you for everything, Suzanne Somers, may you now rest in peace!

Did you know?

Suzanne Somers, best known for her roles in television shows like "Three's Company" and her career as a best-selling author, was also an advocate for victims of abuse. Throughout her life and career, Somers drew upon her own experiences with abuse to raise awareness, promote healing, and support individuals who suffered similar traumas.

One significant aspect of Somers' work was her dedication to removing the stigma surrounding abuse.  She encouraged victims to seek help, speak out, and believe in their own strength to heal and recover.

Somers was vocal about her struggles with various forms of abuse, particularly during her childhood. Growing up in a dysfunctional household, she endured emotional, verbal, and physical abuse. These experiences deeply impacted her self-esteem and emotional well-being, but she refused to let them define her or dictate her future.

Keeping Secrets

In her efforts to address the issue of abuse, Somers used her platform to share her personal journey of recovery and survival. Through her books, interviews, and public appearances, she candidly discussed the lasting effects of abuse, including the challenges faced by survivors in rebuilding their lives.

In addition to her advocacy work, Somers authored books that aimed to provide healing and empowerment to abuse survivors. By sharing her personal stories and lessons learned, she inspires others to reclaim their lives and find hope amid the darkness.

Throughout her work, Suzanne Somers demonstrated immense compassion and empathy for those impacted by abuse. Her commitment to raising awareness, providing support, and dismantling the stigma around abuse established her as a powerful advocate for survivors. Through her bravery in sharing her own story and her dedication to helping others, she made a lasting impact in the fight against abuse.

She won.
